Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers, including mental health professionals, are required to provide you with a Good Faith Estimate for any scheduled or anticipated services for uninsured (or self-pay) individuals. This law ensures you have a clear understanding of your potential costs before receiving care, reducing the risk of unexpected medical bills. The Good Faith Estimate outlines the anticipates changes based on the information you provide during your initial consultation.
The Good Faith Estimate for mental health services is a document that provides an estimate of the costs you can expect to incur for counseling services. This estimate is designed to help you understand the financial aspects of your mental health care, including session fees, additional services, and any potential costs that may arise during your treatment.
While the estimate reflects the most accurate costs at the time of your appoint, actual charges may vary depending on the specifics of your treatment plan, length of sessions, and any unexpected changes in your care. Providers are also required to inform you of any significant changes to your Good Faith Estimate before services are rendered.
Our goal is to provide transparency and clarity about your financial responsibility so you can make informed decisions about your mental health treatment.
We’re committed to supporting your emotional well-being and financial planning, in line with the protections provided by the No Surprises Act.

Please check your coverage carefully by calling the number on the back of your insurance card, and asking the following questions:
-
Some medical benefits plans do not offer mental health coverage.
-
Some insurance plans have high deductibles that require the member to pay insurance’s rates for mental health services until a deductible is met, before insurance will cover any costs of services.
-
Some insurance plans may only allow a specific number of mental health sessions per year, and will require providers to send authorization requests to request more sessions when that number is reached.
